Clearinghouse

Clearinghouse
As of January 6, 2020, the Federal Motor Carrier Administration set forth a requirement that all CDL drivers were required to have a clearinghouse query (background check) run on their driver’s licenses upon hire and then annually to check for any violations of drug and alcohol prohibition through a clearinghouse database. The Clearinghouse contains records of violations of drug and alcohol prohibitions in 49 CFR Part 382, Subpart B, including positive drug or alcohol test results and test refusals. When a driver completes the return-to-duty (RTD) process and follow-up testing plan, this information is also recorded in the Clearinghouse. P2 services offers this service to you and maintains the records to keep your company in compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by FMCSA. Note that all owner/operators must have a C/TPA provide the clearinghouse service for them and are not permitted to maintain this program on their own.
